Leonard B. Shepherd, age 80 of Clarksville went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center. A celebration of his life will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 18, 2013 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with the Rev. Shawn Berry officiating. Burial will be in the Sunnyview Baptist Church Cemetery. Leonard was born November 11, 1932 in Montgomery County son of the late Leonard Elzie and Sally Helen Holmes Shepherd. Leonard was a retired forester with the Tennessee Forestry Division and after his retirement he started his own timber cruising service as a private forester. He was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Johnnie, Marvin and Danny Shepherd and sisters, Marcille Johnson, Nelda Shepherd and Wilma Jean Black. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Linda Jines Shepherd; son, Eddie (Terri Lynn) Shepherd; daughters, Jo Ann (Terry Ray) Davidson and Melinda (Darren) Koski; grandchildren, Crystal, Ashley, Justin, Clinton, Ray, Jodi, Sara, Caleb and 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Elvin Ray Shepherd; Sisters, Bevery Killebrew, Janice Sasser and Patsy Hogan.
