Joyce Pritchett Griffin Sutton passed away Saturday at Dalton's Place in Star City, Arkansas. She was a daughter of the late Reverend William Floyd and Amy Ann Hughes Pritchett.

Joyce was the retired owner of Griffin Funeral Home, where she was a licensed Arkansas Funeral Director for over 60 years, and Griffin's Flowers and Gifts in Star City. Joyce was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Star City and a member of the Will Emma Sunday School Class.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Sutton; a brother, John Hughes Pritchett; and a sister, Chloe Deane Branscum.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Grant Gillis (Dodie) Griffin II of Dumas, Arkansas, and Keith D. (Jennifer) Griffin of Star City; one daughter, Permelia Ann (Bill) Huffman of Hardin, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Grant Gillis Griffin III, Todd Wesley Griffin, Blair Griffin, Jeremy Nichols, Amy Ann Allen, Tyler Austin Griffin, Emily Paige Griffin, Jennie Michael, Ben Huffman; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Private family graveside service was held Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at Hickory Grove Cemetery with Brother Brad Elrod officiating. Pall bearers were Keith Boyd, Barry Harper, Vic Harper, Mark Mallard, Mike McMillen, Paul Moore, Van Nichols, and Barry Saffold.
