Susan Marie Creekmore Manley, age 65, a resident of Calhoun, MO passed away peacefully Thursday May 7th, 2020 at her home. She was born July 19, 1954 in Blue Springs, MO to John William Creekmore and Francis LaVerne (Downum) Creekmore. She grew up in Blue Springs and graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1972. She had her first job at 14 years old working at a local drive-in. She was a member of the plaza heights baptist church in Blue Springs. She worked her way up the career ladder, leaving one job for an ever better one, including working for the Missouri State Highway Dept,working at the Kansas City Court House. After having enough of the "city life" she moved to Calhoun MO in 1987 , where she always said was like the country to her. Upon moving here she met Joseph C. Manley and they united in marriage on August 31, 1991. To this union a daughter was born, Ashley Dawn. She then became a homemaker.

Susan was one of a kind. She was a very kind hearted person, and would help anyone in need. She loved to cook and bake. Cooking was one thing she loved to do and would never let anyone leave the house hungry. She loved animals and watching the wild life and stopping to pick wild flowers on the side of the road. She loved going to the lake swimming and fishing. She loved to laugh and play cards. But most of all she loved family time.

Susan is survived by her husband JC of Calhoun, MO ; daughter Ashley (Derreck) of Clinton, MO, one brother Charles William Creekmore (Pat) of Blue Springs, MO ; one aunt Elaine Farish of Springdale, AR, a nephew John Creekmore (Malorie) and thier son Carson of Oak Gove, MO; neice Casey Creekmore and daughter Breanna ; sister in law Mary Jane (Marshal) Harroun of Flint, MI ; nephew Ellis Harroun and family Burton MI ; and neice Edie Davis and family of Flushing, MI. She is also survived by several cousins, including Lisa Wade of Muskogee, OK.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, John And Francis Creekmore, stillborn daughter Angel Dawn, a nephew Brett Creekmore, Uncles Joe and Lewis Downum, and an aunt Helen Pattishall.

Graveside Services will be on Wednesday, May 13th, 2020 , at 2 PM at the Calhoun Cemetery, Calhoun, Missouri. Rev. Brad Elmer will be officiating. Memorial contributions can be made in Susan's name to C.A.R.E. and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, MO.
