Bobby Ray and Claudette were married on July 31, 1963 and they enjoyed life together for 55 years. Bobby Ray enjoyed helping others. He was a board member on the Juneteenth Committee. His life's motto was always trying to help make somebody's life better. He was a member of the East Texas Truckers. He loved to rebuild cars and trucks from rusty pieces of junk into beautiful vehicles. He worked for Texas Eastman for 30 years and enjoyed his retirement.
He served as a dedicated leader of the Northside Church of Christ in Hallsville, Texas.
Bobby Ray is preceded in death by his parents, wife; brothers Elmo Watkins Jr., Jamie Watkins, George Watkins, Charles Ray Watkins, Earlie D. Watkins; sisters, Bessie Watkins, Lela Miller and Evelyn George.
