Inez Ellingworth
December 09, 1927 - May 09, 2015

Inez L. Ellingworth, 87, Twin Valley, MN, died Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Essentia Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Inez Lizabeth Ellingworth was born December 9, 1927, the daughter of Ingvald and Lydia (Schlenz) Bentley in Twin Valley, where she lived her entire life. At the young age of nine, Inez began cooking for area steam thrashers, traveling from farm to farm. She began sewing very early in life, becoming an accomplished seamstress. Inez was sought out far and wide, sewing for the surrounding community as well as for a senator's wife, and designing and constructing bridal gowns. As a young adult, Inez was employed at the State Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. After returning to the area, Inez began waitressing at the Green Lantern Café in Ada. On March 11, 1951, Inez was united in marriage to Russell Ellingworth in Twin Valley where the couple made their home. She looked forward to the frequent visits from the neighborhood children and welcomed all of her children's and grandchildren's friends as well. Later in life Inez sewed quilt tops for Trinity Lutheran church in addition to doing alterations. Russell passed away April 28, 2007.

Inez was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Her favorite pastime was playing the card game, Rummy, but she also enjoyed reading and entering sweepstakes. Especially in recent years, Inez appreciated the friendship and caring from her special friends, Beth Portz and Duane Johnson. Her children, grandchildren and family meant the world to Inez and she truly treasured the time she spent with all of them.

Inez is survived by a son, Steve Ellingworth of Gary, MN; two daughters, Roz (Jerry) Shuskey and Barbie (Mike) Boles all of Twin Valley, MN; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell, a brother, Ilo Bentley and a sister, Leona Christianson.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 12th, 11:00am at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Twin Valley, MN. Visitation was Monday from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the Anderson Family Funeral Home, Twin Valley and one hour before services at the church. Officiating was Pastor Robert Behling with Myrna Thornton serving as organist and Sarah Mickelson and Bob Brevik as vocalists. Pall bearers were Wade Mickelson, Jeff Fennern, Zane Mickelson, Mike Bueng, Curtis Bentley and Lee Bentley.
