Joan M. Ahart, née Adkins, age 91, of Council Bluffs, passed away on August 7, 2018.
She was born in Council Bluffs, on October 17, 1926, to John B. and Nora E. Adkins. Joan taught school in the Council Bluffs school system for more than 40 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Iris; son-in-law, Everett Mason; and former husbands, Willis Weiser and Robert Ahart.
Joan is survived by her daughter, Nancy Mason; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Robin Weiser; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Edwin Pauli; brother, Lawrence Adkins; nieces and nephews; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; great-nieces and nephews; many cousins and countless friends.
It was Joan's wish that there be no visitation or funeral. Private interment will be at a later date. The family will direct memorials.
