He was born April 22, 1940, in Harlan, Kentucky.
Mark served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Navy retiring as a Master Chief. He then went on to be the AC engineer for the Escondido School District in Escondido, California.
Mark is survived by his loving spouse of 60 years, Rose Irene Scott; children, Darlene Scott-Meers and husband, Lee, Mark Scott Jr.; grandchildren, Jonathan Meers, Amber Scott, Sydnie Scott and Mark Scott; great-grandchildren, Frank Meers and Jocelyn; siblings, Darlene, Doyle, (wife, the late Boots), Eugene and Mack.
He was preceded in death by mother, Fannie Belle Scott; father, John Henry Scott; siblings, Alta, Maldine, Hannah, Ruby, Pete, Delano, and Millard.
Private services will be held.
Entombment will take place in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fishers.
