Mineral Point - JoAnn Theresa Harris, age 77, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at University Hospital in Madison surrounded by her family.

She was born November 21, 1942 the daughter of William and Frances (Schnorenberg) Bollant. On October 12, 1963 she married the love of life Delvin Lee Harris at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Mineral Point.

JoAnn worked 25 years for Memorial Hospital of Iowa County in lab and purchasing and then for Mineral Point Family Dentistry until she retired.

JoAnn loved knitting and gardening. She loved spending time with her family and most of all her daughter and light of her life, her one and only grandson Lance or Lancey as she always called him. He truly meant the world to her.

JoAnn is survived by her husband of 56 years Delvin Lee “Bud” Harris, her daughter Amy Jo Steffes (Wade Wendhausen), her grandson Lance William Steffes (Haley Chubb) all of Mineral Point. She is further survived by her brothers William F. Bollant Jr.(Dorothy) of Montfort, Robert Bollant of Winona, MN and Gerald Bollant (LaVon) of Fennimore; her sister-in-law Linda Adams (Tom) of Mineral Point.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her mother and father in-law Ellen and Frank Harris, her sister Katherine (Milton) Millard, her sister-in-law's Lois (Paul) Luciani, Judy Bollant and Caroline Bollant, her nephews Jeffrey ”Charlie “ Bollant and Daniel Bollant and a great niece Stephanie Shemak.

We would like to send a special thank to the UW Hospital floor F6 for the wonderful care mom received. The doctors and nurses who made sure mom was well taken care of and comfortable, you are truly an amazing bunch and we can’t express or love and thank you's enough. And also a special thank you to Dr Gordon Grieshaber you are truly an amazing person and we can’t thank you enough for the house calls and being there for all of us.

A private family service will be held on Tuesday at the GORGEN FUNERAL HOME, with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. A Memorial Mass in JoAnn's name will be held at a later date at Ss. Mary & Paul's Catholic Church.
