Private Graveside services for Mrs. Carolyn Daniel Gibson will be Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Causeyville Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverends Gilbert Eaves and Jimmy Culpepper officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mrs. Gibson, 81, of Meridian, passed away Friday, May 8, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Carolyn was a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County. She was a member of Causeyville Baptist Church, where she served Her Lord as church organist for many years. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker and taking care of her family whom she adored. She did however, work for many years as the manager at Meridian Stock Yard’s Café. She will be remembered as a kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a devoted friend to many who loved her.
The family would like to express special thanks to Southern Care Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion. Special thanks to Brandie Addy, Amanda Gomillion, Pam Nicholson, Darinque Nicholson, Donna Flanagan, and Lula Scarbrough. Your kindness and care will never be forgotten.
Mrs. Carolyn is survived by her daughter Cindy Morris (David); granddaughter, Michelle Flanagan (Zach); sister-in-law, Linda McLaurin (Harrel); nieces, Dawn Patton, Billie Little, Deena Patton; and nephew, Michael Spangler (Lori).
Mrs. Gibson is preceded in death by her husband Bobby E. Gibson; parents, Robert E. and Kate Daniel; brother, Robert Lewis Daniel; sister, Doris Daniel; father-and mother-in-law, Algie and Louise Gibson.
The family requests memorials be made as donations to Causeyville Baptist Church, 6192 Causeyville-Clarke Rd. Meridian, MS 39301 or to a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
