Harold Gregory Haley, 80, Owner and Operator of Haley Insurance Agency, passed away, April 26, 2020 at his home. Graveside services are 2:00pm Tuesday April 28, 2020 at Oakridge Cemetery. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements.

Harold Haley, a faithful father, friend, and servant of the One True God Jesus Christ lived a life of fullness. His dedication to accomplish each and every goal set before him came from the root of what some might call (stubbornness.)

But God took his stubbornness and turned it into faithfulness. Very few Sundays passed that Poppe as his grandkids called him, wasn't in church. No matter what, he was going to be in church on Sunday morning and he was going to be in the office on Monday.

He loved taking care of horses, growing up on a farm in Sardis he always had horses to ride and tend to. The lessons he taught and instilled in his children through his life was the value of ownership, taking care of what you have because it's a gift.

His faithfulness to church was equal to his faithfulness to his family. He loved and gave all that he had to God and his family. He did this to show the faithfulness of God in his life. He shared at his church, the power of a testimony being like the stones David used to slay Goliath.

His life was a testimony of God's goodness and faithfulness and with his testimony he slew every giant that stood before him. He had the heart of a Lion that wouldn't back down when opposed and let his roar be heard. Because he believed in the power of the Almighty God.

He believed in the Rock that will never be moved, Christ Jesus our Lord. He stood upon that Rock, built his house upon that Rock and never staggered in faith of the One who held him.

We will miss you greatly Poppe.

"Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved." Psalm 62:1-2

Harold Haley is survived by his son Greg Haley (Kim) of Clarksdale, MS; daughter Terri Pullen (Byron) of Clarksdale, MS; grandchildren Caleb Haley of Clarksdale, MS, Randall Haley of Oxford, MS, William Haley of Clarksdale, MS, Haley Powers (Preston) of Oxford, MS, Hannah Forrest (Ben) of Ringgold, VA and Clancy Pullen of Oxford, MS and 4 great grandchildren.
