Jones, Don R., age 90, passed into his heavenly home April 22, 2020 of natural causes.

Don was born in Otter Lake. He and his first wife Joan raised their family in the Flint area. He was the last surviving original owner of property on Bass Lake, Hale, MI where the family spent many happy years.

He and his second wife Linda Anderson Jones made their home in Hilton Head, SC and would spend their summers in Hale to be with family.

Don was a retired Detective Sergeant for the City of Flint Police Department. After retirement, he worked at the Park Eye and Surgery Center for several years. He also served on the Advisory Board for the Sloan Museum and was an avid antique collector.

As a young man, Don served in the US Navy as a medic in Hawaii during the Korean War.

He was predeceased by his wife of 38 years Joan and his daughter Diane; also a twin great grandchild.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years Linda, sons Jeffrey (Denise), Mark, Eric (Trina) and Kent, grandchildren Brad, Bart (Kayla) and Jillian, great grandsons Carson and Connor and sister Kathleen Wait.

Don has been cremated and a private family memorial service will be held this Summer.
