Mike enjoyed trap shooting, fishing, racing cars at his uncle’s house with family, but most of all, he enjoyed our family gatherings.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer and Bessie Smith and Ed and Effie Garland, as well as his uncles, General and Roy Smith.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Chris (husband Clint) Bailey; his brother, Tim (wife Judy) Garland; his nephew, Dustin (wife Adrea) Bailey; his great-niece, Anastasia Bailey; his ex-wife, Kimberly Garland; his close friend, Dori Griffith; his aunts, Thelma (husband Mike) Baringer, Linda Smith, Joan (husband Chuck) Mohr, and Edna Bailey; his uncles, Glenn (wife Melinda), Tom (wife Jane), and Carl (wife Barbara) Smith; and his numerous cousins.
A public graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at 11 am at K of P Cemetery in Lizton, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the National Kidney Foundation or a charity of your choice.
