Private graveside services were held for Mrs. Marion Hicks, age 95, of Birmingham, who died Monday .Reverend Derek Jacks officiated. Burial was in Crestwood Cemetery, Gadsden .Crestwood Funeral Home announcing. Mrs. Hicks will be remembered as the ultimate grandmother, a woman who loved the Lord, her church, singing in the choir and Alabama Football. She retired from Baptist Princeton Hospital. She was blessed with a zest for life her entire 95 years, and was always ready to go. She loved her family especially her grands and great grands. A special wife , mother ,grandmother, sister and friend, she will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold "Shorty" Hicks, brother Bonnell and sister Virginia "Bug" Leach. She is survived by son Harold (Gladys)Hicks, Ed (Nancy)Hicks and daughter Sherlene Huffstutler,7 grandchildren,8 great grandchildren, sister Sherlene (Don) Neely and numerous nieces and nephews.
