Carol Jean Olson, 76, of Bensenville, passed away March 24, 2020 peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 2, 1943 to the late Eugene Olson and Myrtle nee Anderson.
Carol was a strong, caring and compassionate woman. She had an amazing sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Her greatest love was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially around the holidays. She was always there to support her family with her endless love and care. Carol was a long-time doll collector and loved going to antique or doll shows with her sister’s. She loved showing off the treasures she would find. A passion that she has passed onto her children and grandchildren. She loved hockey and enjoyed watching her favorite team the Blackhawks play with her long time love Gary.
She is survived by her loving spouse of 39 wonderful years Gary Skau; two daughters, Sandy Miles (Scot), and Carrie (Kevin) Ryan; and son, Eric (Veronica) Manteufel; four grandchildren, Mikey, Rachel, Sarah, and Eli; one great grandchild, Michael Joon; and a sister Barbara Beguhl.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Richard and Ed Olson; one sister, Betty Shell.
Services will be held privately.
