Carol Elizabeth (Buxton) Gray was born March 11, 1945 in Raytown, MO. She passed into the arms of Jesus on February 29, 2020 from complications with an abdominal aneurysm. She was 74 years old.

Carol was saved at a young age and was most recently an attendee at Sulfur Springs Baptist Church. Even though she was a quiet and private person, she was loved by the ones she allowed into her life. She loved deeply, spoke wisely, supported wholeheartedly, and was a constant in her family’s life. We all knew we could count on Mom to answer our calls and listen for as long as we needed.

She was also an avid seamstress. Despite the many health problems she had faced over the years, she still found the strength and time to sew and crochet gifts for family members and friends. Not to mention the many blankets she made and donated to raise money for Dad’s military groups. She was not one to sit idle, and she truly enjoyed making things for others.

Carol is survived by her husband, Lawrence (Larry) E. Gray to which she was married for 53 years; three children, Ron (Lisa) Gray, Glynda (Lane) Cutler, and Ory (Chris) Thompson, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
