Troy was a 1984 graduate from North Central High School and attended Indiana University in Bloomington. He was a loan officer for Standard Federal Bank in Indianapolis and traveled around the world in the '90s. In 2000 he became the full-time daycare provider for his niece Marina. He loved cars, boating and being with his family and friends.
Survivors include his parents Mike and Sherlyn Campbell of Hymera; sister Michelle Thompson of Indianapolis; niece Marina Thompson of Indianapolis; uncle Jim (Rhuanne) Campbell; and cousins Steve (Brenda) Campbell, Teresa (Tab) Boaz, Derek (Amy) Campbell, Brittany (Derick) Dahlstrom, Avery (Maggie) Boaz, and Austin (Sammie) Boaz.
