Jeanette was a native of Uvalda and lived in Savannah for some 30 years before returning to Lyons in 1987. She was a retired lab technician and was a founding member of Southside Baptist Church in Savannah. Mrs. Jeanette was currently a member of East Gordon Street Baptist Church of Lyons.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawson Collins; one son, Jimmy L. Collins; her parents; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by one son, Jerry D. Collins (Hope) of Lyons; two brothers, Buddy Mosley of Uvalda and Glenn Mosley of Cedar Crossing; two sisters, Maxine Williams and Grace Manning, both of Uvalda; and one daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Collins of Savannah. Four grandchildren, Josh, Jeanette, Amy, and Annie, and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9th at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Interment will follow. Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
