Michael Royse Leonard, 61, of Hagerstown, MD. passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020, at his home under hospice care.

He was born February 3, 1959 in Baltimore, MD to the late Marilyn McIlvain and Loren William Leonard.

Michael graduated from South Hagerstown High School in 1977 and spent his life in energy management as an Engineer and Inventor.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Cannon, M.D., his children, daughter Taryn (and her daughter Molly Neil) and son Michael; sisters Karen Crawford, Jo Janes, Elizabeth Leonard, and Lorie Skidmore; brothers William, Christopher and Scott Leonard and was preceded in death by his sister Leslie and his brother Steven.

Michael made an anatomical gift of his remains to The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences F. Herbert School of Medicine at the Walter Reed National Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.
