Rita Jane McDonald, 84 of Ossineke, Michigan and Wildwood, Florida, passed away May 4, 2020 in Leesburg, Florida. Rita was born on June 18, 1935 to Sidney and Vera (Spragg) Goodrich in Alpena, Michigan.
Rita is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Patrick H. McDonald whom she married on May 1, 1954, and her three children; Jeannie Burt, Julie (Jim) Nowak, Ken (Sue) McDonald, seven grandchildren; Nick (Sarah) Burt, Natalie French, Nathan Burt, Daniel Nowak, Dana (Jarred) Wilson, Jennifer (Curt) Newhouse, Jeffrey (Tara) McDonald, ten great-grandchildren, one sister; Jean (Jack) Gries and two brothers; Melvin (Sherry) Goodrich and Ken Goodrich. Four sister-In-Laws; Joyce (Steve) Moore, Thelma McDonald, Alice Goodrich and Agnes Goodrich. Several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephew.
Rita is preceded in death by her parents, son Edward McDonald, son-in-law Keith Burt, grandson-in-law Charles French, and 3 brothers Ferris, Ivan and Jerry Goodrich, sister-in-law Jeannie McDonald, and two brother-in-laws Mike and Jack McDonald and parents-in-law Dolores and Harry McDonald.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Page-Theus Funeral Home in Leesburg, Florida. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Alpena, Michigan at a later date.
