Melba Wallace, 89, of Charleston, Missouri, formerly of Cairo, died Sunday, July 21, 2019, at Charleston Manor Nursing Home in Charleston, Missouri.

Mrs. Wallace was born March 4, 1930 in New Madrid County, Missouri the daughter of William and Eva (Jones) Haynes. She married Charley Wallace on August 11, 1949.

She was a homemaker and a member of Cairo United Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by her husband, Charley Wallace of Charleston, Missouri, her son, Charley (Marilyn) Wallace, Jr. of Mayfield, Kentucky, seven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, her sister, Charlotte Helton of Villa Ridge, Illinois, and her brother, William Haynes of Sikeston, Missouri.

Preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Lavanda Aldridge

Funeral services for Melba Wallace will be private at Crain Funeral Home in Cairo with Rev. Kenneth Maupin officiating.
