Eleanor Doris (Ramsdell) Winter, 88, of Franklin, IN passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020 in Greenwood, IN. She was born November 22, 1931 in Gardner, Massachusetts to Edward Smith Ramsdell and Marguerite W. (Bartsch) Ramsdell.

She married Clayton L. Winter on October 10, 1956 in New Bedford, Massachusetts, he preceded her in death on March 29, 2000.

She attended Boston University and worked as a phlebotomist at Boston General Hospital in Boston and Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She had also worked along with her husband at Brown County State Park. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Franklin, IN. She enjoyed working puzzles, crocheting and genealogy.

Survivors include her two daughters Carole Williams (Jack) of Greenwood, IN and Marguerite "Missy" Natalie (Paul) of Greenwood, IN; a son Stephen Winter of Greenwood, IN; four grandchildren: Lonna, Amie, Abby and Kristen and eight great-grandchildren: Jacob, Conner, William, Elijah, Ava, Bennett, Nora and Ellie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clayton L. Winter; and a sister Carol Boyajian.

A private family service will be held with burial to follow at Jones Family Cemetery in Whitestown, IN. Swartz Family Church and Chapel ~ Funeral and Cremation Services in Greenwood, IN is handling the arrangements.
