Major League Baseball Player. Berger started his MLB career with the Cleveland Indians in 1932. During his career he also played for the Chicago White Sox and the Boston Red Sox. His best season was in 1935 while playing for the Indians when he had 119 hits, 27 doubles, five triples, 62 runs, 43 RBI, 124 games. Prior to being in MLB he attended the University of Maryland where he was a All-American basketball forward twice. He was inducted into the University of Maryland Athletic Hall of Fame in 1982.
