Marilyn J. Parker, 83, of Niles, Michigan, completed her journey here on earth on November 2, 2019, and has been reunited with her loved ones.

She was born to the late Charles and Eva (LaCount) Yazell in Buchanan, Michigan on September 4, 1936.

On May 20, 1967 Marilyn wed Raymond Parker, Jr., and they were able to celebrate 43 years before Ray passed in 2010.

Marilyn completed her studies at Vogue Beauty School through apprenticeship under her sister June, and worked for many years at the Beauty Nook in Buchanan. She was an accomplished seamstress and an avid crafter, including counted cross-stitch. There are many family members and friends who have been the recipient of her custom-made cross-stitched Christmas stockings. She was also an avid mushroom hunter and spent each spring “up north” hunting for the prized morel mushrooms.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Ralph “Tyke” Bimm II and her siblings, Sydney Birong and Beverly Smith.
