Mary Y. Richard, 94 of Texas City, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 at Mainland Center Hospital in Texas City.
Mrs. Richard was born December 7, 1925 in Maurice, Louisiana, the daughter of Ozema Trahan and Edna Gaspard Trahan.
Mary was a resident of Texas City for 62 years and a member of Saint Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph Bradley Richard, a daughter Jeanette Marie Jackson, son Carl Wayne Richard, grandsons; Chris Richard, Wade Gregory and Dean Jackson and granddaughter Telissa Buckley. Mrs. Richard is survived by her daughter Dorothy Lynn Buckley of Orange, two sons and daughter-in-law, James B. Richard and Joyce of Richmond, Texas and Dale Richard of Texas City. Mary is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Eric, Tifne, Bryan, Scott, Treanna, Garrett, and Jennifer and her 12 great grandchildren.
Private graveside service will be Thursday, 10:00 am at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, with Father Clint Ressler, officiating. Services are under the direction of the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque, Texas.
