Rick was born to Willie and Annie Wilkins on July 12, 1967 in Laurel, Mississippi. He was a graduate of R. H. Watkins High School and Jones County Junior College where he excelled as a star on the basketball court. Rick was a hard-worker and spent most of his life working as a fuel truck driver in Dallas, Texas, until he returned home to Laurel.
He leaves behind his children, Rico Wilkins and Bre Miller, to carry on his legacy. He is also survived by his mother, Annie Wilkins; his brothers, Cornell (Jaynett) Wilkins, James (Patricia) Wilkins, and Gary (Tonell) Wilkins; sister, Elaine (Audrae) Wilkins Barnes; a very special friend, Cassandra Edmondson; two special grandkids; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
