Linda L. Willey, age 72, died at The Oaks in Lakewood, WA on Apr 29, 2020.
She was born Sept 24, 1947, in Deadwood, SD, to the late Harry M. Weisflog and V. Pauline Weisflog Litts. She attended Pacific Elementary School, and graduated from Auburn High School in 1965. Linda graduated from Allan Hancock College, Santa Maria, CA; and Central Missouri State College, Warrensburg, MO. In June 1967, she was united in marriage to Les Willey, 2nd Lt, US Air Force, in Auburn, WA. After Les’s Air Force career, she and Les returned to Washington where they’ve made their home since 1993.
Mrs. Willey began working as a clerk-stenographer for General Services Administration in 1966. She continued in Civil Service, working secretarial positions with the Department of Defense at Whiteman AFB, MO; Vandenberg AFB, CA; and Offutt AFB, NE. Her other homes included military bases in Norfolk, VA; Newport, RI; and Comiso Air Station, Sicily.
Linda is survived by her husband Les; brother Ken Weisflog; niece Valerie Prince; nephew Derek Weisflog; and cousin Bryan (Jenniffer) Sample. She is survived by other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother V. Pauline Litts, her step-father Richard Litts, and her father Harry Weisflog.
Memorial services for Linda will be held at (TBD) at Fir Lane Memorial Park, 924 East 176th Street, Spanaway, WA 98387. The Rev. Danny Riggs, will officiate. Burial will be in Tahoma National Cemetery, On Friday, May, 2020.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to The American Cancer Society or The McChord Field Chapel.
