Timothy R. "Tim" Abbott, 50, of Sharon, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, May 3, 2020, in his residence after an extended illness.
Tim was born Nov. 8, 1969, in Sharon, a son of Richard Abbott and Virginia (Thompson) Abbott.
He graduated from Sharon High School in 1988 and then from Penn State Shenango and Waynesburg Colleges.
Tim was employed for 14 years at a laborer with NLMK USA in Sharon.
He enjoyed golfing, shooting, collecting guns, bowling, NASCAR, tennis, photography and his cats.
Tim married his wife, Linda Bakmaz, on Dec. 14, 2001, and she survives at home. Also surviving is his father, Richard Abbott, of Hermitage.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
