James Lowell Sullins, age 69, of Marion, Illinois, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020 at 9:40 p.m. in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

Jim was born on July 18, 1950 in Carbondale, Illinois, a son of Lloyd and Ruth (Roberts) Sullins, Sr.

He enjoyed reading, cross-stitch and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include seven brothers and sisters, J. (J.) Sullins of Versailles, Kentucky, Peggy (Jim) of West Frankfort, Illinois, R. (M.) Sullins of Marion, H. (P.) Sullins of Spring Hill, Tennessee, R. (S.) Sullins of Marion, Donna (Robert) of Hueytown, Alabama and D. (T.) Sullins of McCalla, Alabama; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lloyd Sullins, Jr.

DUE TO HEALTH CONCERNS RELATED TO THE COVID-19 VIRUS AND BY THE SIGNING OF EXECUTIVE ORDER BY GOVERNOR J.B. PRITZKER, a private graveside service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion.

Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
