Final Rites Held For Mrs. Levi Drewett October 26
Mrs. Levi Drewett, 77, of LeCompte, died in an Alexandria hospital Friday, October 25, after a long illness. She was thr former Miss Willie Ray of the Sardis Community.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Hixson Chapel, Alexandria, with burial following in the Sardis Cemetery, Winn Parish. The Rev. Jim Koonce and the Rev. B. N. Simmons officiated.
Pallbearers were Charner Boone, J. T. Boone, William Boone, Lloyd Drewett, and Vernon Drewett.
The deceased is survived by her husband of LeCompte; three sons, Edgar, and Ray, of Alexandria, and Tillman of West Monroe; one daughter, Mrs. H. C. Boone, and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She also leaves two brother, George and Jim Ray of Atlanta; three sisters, Miss Priscilla Ray and Mrs. Octavus Young of Sardis; and Mrs. Jenny Koonce of Jonesboro.
