Mr. Jack Carter of Bremen, Georgia passed away on May 4, 2020 at a local health care facility. He was born in Cedartown, Georgia on January 6, 1934, son of the late Joe Morgan and Della Redding Carter. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Ruby Dingler and Joyce Rutledge and a brother, Charlie Van Carter.
Survivors include wife, Nelda Robinson Carter, son, Dennis Carter and step children, Greg and Sharmon Wiggins, Susan and Jerry Cates and Stacy and Angela Wiggins; sisters, Sonja and Billy Frashier and JoAnne Norris; fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Mr. Carter was a retired postmaster from the United States Postal Service in Carrollton, Georgia, he served in the United States Navy and was an avid Georgia Tech fan.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Second Baptist Church in Cedartown, Georgia or to the American Heart Association.
A private graveside ceremony will be conducted.
