Brenda Gail Cody Ray, 62, of Richmond, KY passed away on Friday may 1,2020 after she had battled an illness for several months.
She was born March 14, 1958, in Hazard,KY. She was predeceased by both of her parents, Gordon and Janie Cody, her brother, Henry Cody, her mother-in-law, Reva Madden and her daughter, Regina Coots.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Harrison Ray; her son, Daniel Harrison Ray Jr(Stacy); her two daughters , Anna Louise Ray Rose (Derick), and Amelia Mae Ray(Dusty); 4 siblings , Gordon Cody Jr, Robert Cody, Dover Cody and Pat Pennington; several nieces and nephews , 13 grandchildren and a great grandchild; as well as, many other family members and friends.
She worked at Irvine Health and Rehab for over a decade, and everyone who knew her loved her for how much care and love she had to give. She was the type of person that was great to talk to and share memories with. Her laugh and smile were infectious. She loved her residents , her coworkers, her job and her family.
Private visitation will be held at Oldham, Roberts and Powell Funeral Home in Richmond, KY.
Following the visitation services, burial will follow at the McIntosh Cemetery in Greens Crossing, KY.
