Thelmar M. Humphrey
Thelmar M. Humphrey, 91, of Beatrice, died at Homestead Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln on April 2, 2012. He was born November 11, 1920 at Wood River and graduated from Fairbury High School in 1939. He served in World War II as a Tech 5th Grade in the European Theater from 1942 to 1945. He married Bernadene Melcher on April 8, 1951 at Fairbury. He worked as a draftsman at Store Kraft Manufacturing for 34 years, retiring in 1985. Member of the First Christian Church (DOC) of Beatrice.
Survivors include his wife, Bernadene of Beatrice; two sons, Paul Humphrey and wife Joan, and Tim (T.J.) Humphrey all of Lincoln; two grandsons, Nathan Humphrey and wife Shari, and Devin Humphrey and wife Christine; two great grandchildren, Kaley and Colin Humphrey.
Memorial services: 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at First Christian Church (DOC) of Beatrice. The body has been cremated. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date. A family prayer service will be held at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday in the church parlor. Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
