Arlene E. Frasch, age 82, a resident of the Hamilton Care Center, Two Rivers, died early Tuesday morning, January 29, 2013 at the Care Center.
Arlene was born February 10, 1930 in the town of Kossuth, to the late Henry and Erma (Springstube) Funk. She attended the Tannery Grade School and was a graduate of Washington High School, Two Rivers. She was employed at Paragon Electric Co. for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed playing board games, doing puzzles, and was an avid reader; she was also a longtime member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Two Rivers. Arlene was married to Eugene Frasch, who preceded her in death on July 26, 1989.
Survivors include her children: Lynn (Sue) and Jim Skarvan, Two Rivers, Penny Dumke & significant other, Robert Seebantz, West Allis, Sherry and James Close, Jr., Manitowoc, Nancy and Joseph Meunier, Reedsville, Gene "Dino" Frasch & significant other, Wanda Ponce, Two Rivers; eleven grandchildren: Dena Elm & special friend, Aaron Gauthier, Richelle (Kevin) Raymond, Sean Dumke, Tracy (Steven) Vogel, Jeremy Frasch, Adam Bohart, Natanya (Aaron) Smith, Joe (Jessica) Meunier, Jr.; Amanda, Amber, and Christopher Frasch, and seven great grandchildren. She is further survived by three sisters & a brother-in-law, Laverne Lange, June (Vernon) Trottier, all of Manitowoc, Marlene Hoffman, Green Bay; one sister-in-law, Shirley Funk of Manitowoc; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Ricky; one daughter, Candice; one brother, Raymond Funk; and two sisters, Violet Moore and Edna Frasch.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 - 18th St. Two Rivers. Rev. David Arndt will officiate at the service, with burial in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Friends may call at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning. There will be no Friday evening visitation.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in her name.
The Frasch family would like to extend special thanks to the Hamilton Care Center for the loving care given to our mother over the years.
