John D. Guffey, age 54, a resident of Cleveland and graduate of Bradley Central High School was welcomed home May 1st, 2020, by our Lord and Savior, his loving wife, Shelia Sue Guffey and his brother, Joseph Michael Bynum. John loved to jam out to his favorite Kiss songs while playing World of Warcraft at his computer. John loved his children, Miranda Guffey and Jeffery Guffey more than I have words to express. They gave him nine amazing grandchildren, Heaven, Maria, Carissa, Aura Guffey, Kayson Chelsey, Zackary, Daniel, Candice and Camren Stepp that he said done no wrong and through his eyes they didn’t. John turned to his mother and father, Phyllis and Jimmy McDaniel for any issue, concern, worry or advice in his life. They were everything to him. He loved them both wholeheartedly. In his eyes, his mother was his world. John also has three brothers that he loved dearly: Jeff Guffey and Patrick and James Bynum. John had many obstacles throughout his life, but he handled each and every one of them with a smile on his face no matter what life threw his direction. He loved his life and everyone in it.
The family will be holding a balloon release on Thursday, May 7th at 6:00PM. Bring your red or black balloons to Tinsley Park. The family will be parked at the tennis court area.
