Floyd Hayes, Sr. was born September 13, 1948 in Dumas, Arkansas to the late Nazreath Jackson and Isaiah Hayes. He transitioned from this life Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at St. Vincent CHI Hospital.
Floyd accepted Christ at an early age, he was a member of New Jerusalem MB Church under the leadership of Rev. Royce Jackson, Jr. Floyd worked many years as a farmer. He also was a mechanic, he enjoyed building and driving race cars. Floyd was a quiet spirited man, who loved his family and will be greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Nazreath Jackson-Flowers and Isaiah “Bill” Hayes, and one sister Melody Flowers.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Willie Jean Haynes of Dumas, Arkansas (2) daughters; Sharon (George) Griggs and Tina Warren of Dumas, Arkansas, (7) sons; Floyd (Samantha) Hayes, Jr. of Dumas, Arkansas, Eric Hayes of California, Floyd Marcus Hayes and Joe Isaac Hayes of Kansas City, Kansas, Tyrone Spencer of Ohio, Levon (Tammy) Warren of Dumas, Arkansas and Michael Harris of Little Rock, Arkansas, (1) brother; Earnest Hayes of Chicago, Illinois, (4) sister; Rose Mary (Freddie) Nelson of Dumas, Arkansas, Jeanette (Linsey) Flowers-Murdock of South Carolina, Ella and Patricia Flowers of Chicago, Illinois, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, nephews, nieces cousins and friends.
