Brenda Doss, 60, of Wharncliffe, departed this life Thursday, April 30, 2020 from CAMC Memorial Hospital. Brenda enjoyed helping others and she loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Church of Christ Faith.
Born on December 10, 1959 at Williamson, she was the daughter of the late Isom "Bouncer" J. Blankenship Jr. (Deceased) and Lola Prater-Blankenship (1935-2008). In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Dennis “Bo” Lee Doss Jr. (1962-2019); sister, Elizabeth Ann Blankenship (1970-2014); brothers, Dallas Ray "Brutt" Blankenship (1961-2009) and Earl "Junior" Blankenship (Deceased); maternal grandparents, Pleas Prater (Deceased) and Polly Hardin-Prater (Deceased); paternal grandparents, Howard Blankenship (Deceased) and Della Blankenship (Deceased); father-in-law, Dennis Lee Doss Sr. (1935-2013); and her best friend, Jackie Browning (Deceased).
Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her daughter, Elisha Doss-Roach & husband Andre Roach; grandchildren, Kolton Doss and Alyna Doss; sisters, Gaynell Blankenship-Rowe and Tonya Blankenship-Prater; mother-in-law, Lennie B. Gibson-Doss; brother-in-law, Karl Doss; and her good friends, Erica Browning and Jeff Browning.
To honor her wishes, her remains were cremated.
