Mr. Eddie Davis was born in Sumter County, South Carolina on February 23, 1939, to the late Florence Lee Davis and George Davis.  He departed this earthly life on April 30, 2020, in Columbia, South Carolina.  He was oldest of eight siblings.

He attended Ebenezer High School in Dalzell, South Carolina.  He moved to Washington, DC where he became a butcher at a factory.  He later moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he managed a Laundermat until his health began to fail.
