Mrs. Margie Watson Reid, 82, formerly of Falls Ave, Granite Falls, died December 8, 2010 at Camelot Manor Nursing Home in Granite Falls.
She was born March 31, 1928 in Caldwell County, North Carolina to the late Alice Watson. She was retired from Shuford Mills.
In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie M. Reid. A son William “Buttons”Reid and a brother Albert Watson.
She is survived by her Son, Steve Reid of Granite Falls, Grand-daughters; Shannon R. Young and husband Walter, and Charity R. Buckner and husband Andy, all of Hudson, N.C. A grandson William Reid Jr. of Nashville, Tenn. Great grandsons; Luke Buckner, Aaron Buckner of Hudson, N.C. Max Reid of Nashville, Tenn. A great granddaughter Hannah Young of Hudson, N.C.
The funeral service will be held Friday evening, December, 10, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Mackie-High Chapel, in Granite Falls, N.C. with the Rev. Glenn Walker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Mackie-High Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
