Michael Edward Ball 50 of Jeffrey, WV passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2020 at his residence with his family.
Michael was born on April 12, 1970 to Terry and Brenda Ball in Madison, WV. After graduating from Scott High School in 1988, he went on to study education at Marshall University.
He worked at Lowes in Charleston during college, Long Branch Energy during the summers, Oak Mountain Energy in Birmingham, AL and finally at CSX Transportation for 21 years.
In 2004 the light of his life was born, Kendal Evon Ball. He loved her with all his heart. He bragged about how smart and talented she was. She completed his life and he loved her tremendously until the end.
Michael spent his free time riding in the mountains on his Jeep and play football and baseball in high school. He was a jack of all trades, and he was one of the best storytellers.
Michael was predeceased by his grandparents and his father, Terry Ball.
He is survived by his daughter, Kendal Evon Ball of Jeffrey; his mother, Brenda (Risty Ellis) Akers Ball of Jeffrey; brothers, Richard (Kista) Eldridge of Six Mile, and Billy (Crystal) Ball of Teays Valley; aunts and uncles, Marsha Akers and Tommy Akers of Jeffrey, and Lucetta Ferrell of Ona; niece and nephews, Schaefer Ball and Jaedyn Ball of Teays Valley and Skylar Eldridge of Six Mile and a host of cousins and friends.
Private family funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2020 Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV. Entombment will follow at Memory Gardens, Madison.
Family members and friends are welcome to observe the rules of social distancing and join the funeral procession to the cemetery in their vehicles.
