Danny "Dan" Ray Cox, 67, of Maiden passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
He was born May 20, 1950 in Colquitt County, GA to the late Daniel Cox and Sara Dorch Cox Belflower of Columbus, GA. Dan was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church in Catawba and loved primitive skills, cooking, BBQ and music.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by special friends, Arlin and Jimmie Lee Dowd.

A service to celebrate Dan's life will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Pisgah United Methodist Church in Catawba. Rev. Hugh Compton will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pisgah United Methodist Church. Those serving as pallbearers are; William Franklin Dowd IV, Matthew Justin Dowd, Kevin Long, Anthony DeRiso III, Christian Ryan Lampe and Edward Jerome Clark.
