Boise, Idaho—Ruth Katherine Carroll Burrup, 78, died August 16, 1986 in Boise, Idaho.

Born May 1, 1908 in Bluejacket, Oklahoma to Bert Silas and Lucy Mae Hershey Carroll. Married Jomes Devereaux, later divorced. Married Jay Melvin Burrup April 13. 1941 in Miskogee. Oklahoma. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a successful home economist She loved cooking, gardening, home decorating and horses She was on active member of the LDS Church. She was actively involved in family businesses. She was a beloved wife and mother and will be missed and always held dear until we meet again.
Survived by husband, Boise, Idaho; sons, Jomes T Devereaux, Salt Lake City; Ronald L and Sharon Burrup, Riverton, Utah; Jay M Burrup and Dean R and Leslie Ann Burrup, both of Boise, Idaho; nine grandchildren, one sister.

Graveside services will be held Thursday 1:30 p.m. Friends may call Thursday from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South. Internment pending. Funeral services are being held in the Meridian LDS 5th Ward Chapel, Tuesday 1:00 pm.
