Dunkirk - Barbara Sue Flynn-Ludwig, 73, of Dunkirk, IN., passed away at 11:30 PM, Thursday, March 8th, 2018 peacefully, at Miller's Merry Manor, Dunkirk, IN.
Barbara was born in Muncie, IN., on December 16, 1944 a daughter of the late Margaret K.(Keith) and James Flynn.
She was a graduate of Muncie Central High School, Secretary, Treasurer and CEO of Ludwig Grocery in Dunkirk, IN.
Barbara was the loving wife of Jerry Ludwig who she happily married on September 15, 1977.
She was a life member and club manager of Elks Lodge#1776 and the first lady member in Dunkirk history.
Besides her many duties at the Elks, she loved to play Keno, decorating her home, watching The Walton's, listening to Frank Sinatra and Elvis, traveling with her husband Jerry, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her husband Jerry Ludwig of Dunkirk, IN., (3) sons; Jeff McDaniel - Ludwig, Allen Ludwig, Derek Ludwig, (2) brothers; Jim Flynn Jr., David Flynn, (1) sister; Vickie Tyler, (7) grandchildren and (1) great grandchild.
Services are private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Muncie Animal Shelter and would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff at Miller's Merry Manor in Dunkirk, IN., for the wonderful care they showed to Barbara and the rest of the family throughout her stay.
