Kirby on Main street last Sunday morning when Miss Bertie Lee Wells became the wife of Mr. Sam Maughan. Capt. H. D. Foote having performed the ceremony. -- Miss Wells is the youngest daughter of Mrs. John Kemp, ho resides on 13th street south, and is quite beautiful besides attractive young lady. -- Mr. Sam Maughan is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Maughan, who also resides in South Columbus, holds a responsible position a the cordage mill. Immediately after the marriage the couple left for the East where they will remain several days before returning to the city."
