WHITEHOUSE — John William Burch, 75, of Whitehouse, Texas, passed away on April 30, 2020, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on August 4, 1944, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, to the late Dr. George William Burch and Dare Ingold Burch.

John was a gold life master bridge player, he enjoyed gardening, and he graduated Robert E. Lee High School in 1961.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Steven Burch.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Janie Carlson, of Whitehouse; three children, Todd Burch, Scott Burch, Sarah Burch Edwards and husband Wes of Tyler; three step-children, Ben Wilson, David Wilson, Erich Wilson all of East Texas; brother, Peter Burch; and multiple grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
