Mary Elizabeth Blackburn, loving wife, mother, and grandmother; was born December 8, 1935 in Corsicana, TX, to Lewis and Lois Moore. She passed away April 30, 2020 in Mesquite, Texas. She was 84 years of age.
Mary was preceded in death in 2010 by her loving husband, Charles Blackburn. She is survived by her two devoted sons, Danny Blackburn and wife Tami of Gilmer, Texas and Garland Blackburn of Mesquite, Texas; three grandchildren, Kendra Aslin and husband John of Gilmer, Texas, Ashley Wallace and husband Zachary of Longview, Texas; and Ethan Blackburn of Forney, Texas; great-grandchildren, Alexia Aslin, Annabelle Aslin, Ayden Wallace, and Holden Wallace; one sister, Neta Jackson of Arlington, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
There will be a private graveside service for Mary where she will be laid to rest at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park in the Garden of Serenity. Arrangements are under the care of Laurel Oaks Funeral Home located 12649 Lake June Rd., Mesquite, Texas 75180.
