Mrs. Burt was a homemaker. She was a member of East McComb Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a member of the Gospel Four Quartet.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R. Gordon Burt, Jr.; her parents, Felix McGuffee and Ruby Badon McGuffee; and one brother, Robert McGuffee.
She was survived by her son, Dr. Stanley K. Burt of Middleton, MD; her daughter, Linda Hoover of Decatur, AL; one brother, Harry McGuffee of Monroe, LA; and 5 grandchildren.
