Leander A. Ruplinger, 60, of W4368 Skyline Drive, Campbellsport, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 1991, at his home.
He was born Oct. 22, 1931, in St. Kilian, a son of Kilian A. and Mary German Ruplinger. On April 21, 1956, he married Audrey Thelen at St. Martin's Church, Ashford.
Mrs. Ruplinger was employed at various times at the cheese factory in St. Kilian, Twohig Furniture Store in Campbellsport, Amity Leather in West Bend and Wayne Feed Mill. He also farmed at his home. He was a member of St. Kilian Church, the church council, the church choir and Holy Name Society.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Roger and his wife Sue of Green Bay, Randy and Allen, both of Madison, and David and Bruce, both of Campbellsport; four daughters, Patricia Van Beek and her husband Sylvester of Brownsville, Joan Ruplinger of Campbellsport, Theresa Driver and her husband Dennis of Menomonee Falls, and Carol Benzine and her husband Doug of Sun Prairie; seven grandchildren; one brother, John and his wife Edna of Kewaskum; and six sisters, Cordell Ameriling and her husband Arnold of Kewaskum, Viola Kudek , Madeline Zehren and her husband Leo, and Bernice Fleischman and her husband Frank, all of St. Kilian, Helen Zittler of West Bend, and Mary Ann Lichtensteiger and her husband Don of Campbellsport, and his mother-in-law, Eleanor Thelen of Campbellsport.
Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers and his father-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at St. Kilian Catholic Church. Mass will fulfill the holy day of obligation. The Rev. Victor Kemmer and the Rev. Wayne Barta will officiate. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the parish cemetery.
Visitation is from 3 to 7:3 p.m. Friday at Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport.
