Emma "Jean" Martin, age 95, resident of Fayetteville passed away Thursday at her home. Jean resided in Orwell for 44 years before moving to Springbrook Apts. Pulaski from 2004 until 2018. She was born February 7, 1925 in Schenectady. She graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1943. Jean was married to Francis "Bud" Martin on June 15, 1946 and he passed away January 22, 1988. She was also predeceased by her companion of 18 years Whitney Schouten. She was employed by GE in Syracuse for 12 years. She was a member of the Orwell Union Church, Rebekah Lodge and the DALKED Class. Surviving are one daughter, Pamela (Richard) Louer of Fayetteville, three sons, Dean (Joyce) Martin of Orwell, Dale (Holly) Martin of Cuylerville, Franz (Natalie) Martin of Bloomfield, nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Maple Downs in Fayetteville for welcoming mom into your facility and making it home for the past two years. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
