WETUMPKA — Elizabeth "Betty" Bailey Lee, 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2020, following COVID-19 at Elmore Community Hospital, Wetumpka, Alabama. Betty was born June 24, 1931, in Roscoe, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Kovach Bailey, and she was preceded in death by William R. Lee Sr., whom she married on October 31, 1950. She was also preceded by an infant grandson, Patrick Joseph Lee. Betty is survived by a son, William (Linda) Lee of Dublin, Ohio, and a daughter, Terri (Edward) Manusakis of Auburn, Alabama; grandchildren, Melissa (Andrew) McMurray, Joseph (Lisa) Manusakis, Evan (Christa) Lee, Megan (Joseph) Drumm, Andrew (Kelsey Weidinger) Lee; and 10 great-grandchildren. A long time Warren resident, Betty was employed by W.T. Grant Co. for many years in the ladies fashion department. She subsequently was employed by Fashion Barn and Drexel Park Pharmacy, prior to retirement. Betty will be remembered fondly by friends for her wonderful sense of humor, her love of nature and her strong sense of family. Betty was a wonderful mother and grandmother cherishing and nurturing her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with love and joy. Per Betty's request, her ashes will be buried alongside her beloved husband, Bill, at Crown Hill Cemetery in Vienna, Ohio. There will be a private interment at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Ivy Creek Hospice, 500 Hospital Dr., Wetumpka, AL, 36092. Arrangements were made by Gassett Funeral Home, Wetumpka, Alabama.
