He was the son of the late Warren J. and Jeanne A. Hodge, and is also predeceased by a brother-in-law, Steven J. Alliette.
Michael attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School and Central Catholic High School, and graduated from Methuen High School, Class of 1979. He worked at Lucent Technologies for 30 years in the shipping/receiving department. He was a union steward, and was one of the last employees to leave when the company closed in 2008.
Michael enjoyed many outdoor activities, especially the beach, and boating, snowmobiling and cruising on his Harley. One of his greatest adventures was his cross-country RV trip with Sharon in the summer of 2012. One of his proudest accomplishments was obtaining his captain’s license and piloting the “Tight Squeeze,” docking her in Newburyport and Hampton for many summers.
The family would like to thank the staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Mike’s close friend, Kevin Hebert, for their help and support throughout his illness.
